Conker spiders with yarn webs

Yesterday afternoon when we got home from home ed group emy wanted to do something crafty so we had a go at making these conker spider webs. They are really simple to make although emy got a little frustrated with the wrapping of the wool, she did however enjoy pushing the cocktail sticks into the conkers and she loves the end result!

I think im going to try with some different colours, I was thinking black and orange would make good halloween decorations and we have plenty of conkers to make many more :-) If anyone would like to know how we made them, this is what we did, I used the tip of a corkscrew to pierce the conkers all the way round then push cocktail sticks into the holes and snipped of the pointy bits, then knotted the end of the wool onto one of the sticks and wove the wool around all the sticks until they are all covered, another little knott and its finished
